I've often thought the same thing. It's not like it's a 60's jazz with the paint rubbed off from touring with the Bee Gee's or anything. It's fake mojo that's supposed to make your bass look like you toured with the Bee Gees. I wonder what these basses would look like if they were to last as long as a 60's jazz bass.

In all honesty, I dont think tey would last that long with any paint. 49 years, with paint already removed while stock?

I dont think the quality is even close to old 60's j basses . I think most of these in 20 years will be trashed modded and i bet most refinished

Same with highway 1's those will be crazy to see how they wear out in like 10-15 years , i'll buy one if its some real wear.

You know, as stupid as the idea of a scratch and dent reduced price on a road worn bass is.....this is the kind of thing I look for when buying new gear.....if you want a road worn, that is the one to buy! You cannot beat that kind of price reduction!

Unlike say, a scratch and dent Geddy Lee, where the damage is less desireable, on a road worn who the hell would know?

Do the people cracking these jokes really think they're funny anymore? They weren't that funny the first hundred thousand times, and they haven't gotten any funnier.

Yeah, they're reliced and yeah, they're selling them as "scratch and dents," har har har. It's ironic. Irony is funny.

Now can we just get back to the "best bass for metal" and "show your whatever kind of basses" threads?
