Hilarious

OK, I'm sure we all don't think the irony is side-splittingly funny, superfunk, but that doesn't mean we can't still have a cheap laugh about it.

If you don't like this thread, why don't you try out the 'best metal bass' and 'show your whatever type of bass' threads?

"I dont think the quality is even close to old 60's j basses . I think most of these in 20 years will be trashed modded and i bet most refinished"

You are correct. It's a fad.

As a geezer, I don't understand this whole 'Road Warn' thing. Back in the covered wagon days, it was called "deplorable condition".

For a year I played a 'borrowed from the keyboard player' '62 Jazz, that was 'road warn' for real. It was a real shame, and all of us begged him to have this fine instrument refinished, by master luthier Eric Shulte, in Media PA. This was in the early '70s. Eric's dead now. He did amazing work.

Point is, most of us took precautions to prevent our instruments from looking this way.

Call me a dinosaur.

Do the people cracking these jokes really think they're funny anymore? They weren't that funny the first hundred thousand times, and they haven't gotten any funnier.

Yeah, they're reliced and yeah, they're selling them as "scratch and dents," har har har. It's ironic. Irony is funny.

Now can we just get back to the "best bass for metal" and "show your whatever kind of basses" threads?

I know its the internet and all, but can't we just keep our negative opinions to ourselves? JEEZ!?! :D :ninja: :D

Some people really think jokes are funnier after they've been beaten to death.

So in the spirit of this thread, can I get a "WHAAAAAAZZZZZZUP" ?!? :D

If people still get a kick out of cracking jokes about the irony of a scratch and dented road worn after all these months of thread after thread filled with them, they're welcome to. I'm just amazed that it's still funny to people.

But at least it's not another thread about how overpriced they are - I think I'd throw up in my mouth a bit if I saw another one of those. Er, excuse me - When I see another one of those.
