oh yeah baby.... that's a good lookin' bass guitar right there!Just got a cherry neck with Birdseye maple fretboard, popped it on a body I had to restore and voila - looks and feels good - so far so good with the neck, frets a little rough, by not cut your finger rough.

Sick bass!Tigerwood is a good fretboard wood - I like mine (in this case, a Warmoth neck):

Thank you. I have the neck "finished" but the rest of the build is continuing. This will be attached to an Episode Thunderbird body but it is getting a shift so will not look anything like it did in it's former life. Yesterday I ordered new tuning machines from Hipshot, SB3 going onboard in brushed nickel. I received a pup from a chap off Reverb a couple months ago, Im not all that happy with it because it seems a bit out of shape but I am going to go forward and make it work, I need to find a pup ring. At some point I will get pictures but that probably won't be until I get the whole thing finished, will post picks then.Oh WOW! I've never seen one of those before! Please post a picture when you get it finished, I'd love to see that finished. You really do think out of the box Klondike.
Unrelated to your question...I just stalked your website and gotta give props. Really nice guitars and building philosophy! Those of you who bought a neck recently - how's the fretwork?
that's looking pretty good already, keep sanding, sanding, sanding
boy oh boy was today a lot of sanding! But I've got the best fit I've ever had. Just a little tweaking left but she is fitting pretty good. Orders a few shims because the bottom of the neck pocket isn't mating up as good as I would like and I suspect I will need one to make a better fit.that's looking pretty good already, keep sanding, sanding, sanding
