hipshot drop d tuner piece

I installed one of these on one of my secondary basses just to try it out,,,It seems like it makes it a good bit top heavy,, Maybe I just dont like change,,,

but I am not sure if i will use this hipshot and don't know if the difference in weight out weighs the use I will get out of it,,,(try to figure that sentence out),,

You'll get used to it. I put them on all of my 4-stringers.

The extra weight is not really that much. but believe me, as soon as you start using it and discover how useful it is, you'll realize that the extra weight is worth it.

Do you have a need to play songs in drop D tuning? Do you tune down regularly in your band or whenever you play? I use mine all the time in my Country band because a lot of new country stuff is played with a 5 string and I play a 4. If you're not sure if you will use it, you probably won't. If you have a need for it, you will use it, but you should probably know that before you purchase it.
