Hipshot

search first next time. but yes hipshot tuners are great and usualy come in single tuners. and usualy cost about 20$ a piece although i have seen packs on some sites but those range 80$ for the set. And depending on the bass you are installing them on it should be pretty easy. If its your standard fender or squier it should be very easy.

Hipshot is the Hipsh!t...sorry, bad joke, hehe.

But seriously Hipshot makes alot of good hardware, not just tuners. I have the Hipshot HB3 tuners with the BT3 Xtender key on my fretless and they are smoooooooooooth! Plus you can adjust the amount of torque required to turn the key to your liking.

Just plain awesomeness. That's Hipshot for ya!

Hipshot is top notch. I put some hipshot ultralites on my Ibanez SRT805 as well as a matching ultralite detuner.

I believe I was replacing "gotoh" style 3/8'' tuners so I grabbed the 3/8'' hipshot ultralites (instead of the 1/2'' FENDER size which is also available).

The screws lined up... there really was no installation it was just taking the previous tuners off and replacing them with the new ones. Takes a few minutes assuming you have a small screw driver and something to handle those hex nut things if the model uses them on the top of the peg.

Hipshot makes quality stuff, it is readily accessible for most people and the company seems to stand behind their product.

That's an understatement. If you have any problems with a Hipshot product, whether it be an installation screw-up or inadvertant damage to a component, the crew at Hipshot will make it right. Try that with Schaller, Gotoh, etc.!

You should see some of my botch-jobs....and my spare parts box.
