Svetlana has shut down their consumer tube division. Unless someone else picks it up, there will be no more Winged C tubes being produced.

This might be just one of the various people that bought the rights to the Hiwatt name in whatever territory. Its just a name so don't sweat it. The stuff that made Hiwatt amps good is found under other names now anyway.

I hope that it isn't true, I like their products. I was given the news by a reliable source. Here is a comment from someone that visited the factory in Russia.

Distribution is handled by PM Components LTD in the UK and parts of the world. No announcement from them. The SED consumer tube Invalid Link Removed hasn't been updated in a while so no news is available from them directly. EH is something else.
