I have a bass that was the same color. I did end up putting a tort pick guard on it, looks good. To me the white one looks good but the tort really brought it out.

I LIKE IT!!! A tort /black/black pearloid or even white pearloid would be even nicer - it that order!! 4 me- black then tort, then Black pearl, then white pearl, then white. I still like it as it is.

Use the guard that sounds best
The only reason that would make this important is:
- That for some reason a different color gaurd makes you mysteriously play better
- You have a better chance of getting laid with some "magic" color combo

You could always mount them with a few screws and change between sets
Oh, and my vote is that white, green, black or moto will all look great.

That is one of my favorite color schemes - I'd keep the white guard over the tort if it were me, but to each their own...
