HNSPD

The return of the soundclipman :D

Chain is Valenti no3 Active Jazz into pedal into POD Bass XT set to tube preamp and then USB into Audacity and converted straight to mp3.

I have to admit they do sound a bit different into my amps, as I guess you would expect but the Tomato is a lot less gated. Anyway here you have them.

Baby Quasar - Link Removed

Tomato Fuzz - Link Removed

Liquid Sunshine - Link Removed

Proteus - Link Removed

And finally an fx medally it goes clean bass, then OC-2, then Tomato, then Proteus, then Prometheus, then Echobox set for just modulation, so at this point all 5 are turned on, then I take the Proteus out, then the Proteus returns set as a low pass filter and the Echobox and Prometheus are turned off.

Just a taste of messings to come :D

Enjoy

I've been told these clips are really quiet, they worked fine for me at home, anyone else finding this?

Cheers

Very quiet on my Macbook Pro. the volume is maxed and I'm getting what I normally would get at the first or second click of the volume.
An instant message just popped up and scared the crap out of me because of how loud it was.

For the output of my computer? So that when I get another IM while trying to listen to these clips, I can scare the crap out of people a few blocks away? :D

Yeah, exactly :D

I'm gigging tonight so might be able to redo them for tomorrow morning, it's a shame I was really excited for people to hear these as there are pretty much no clips of any of them.

I'm going to do some Noisebox and Proteus clips soon.

I'll defo sort the clips out tonight I promise :D

Having had sometime with them, I've sold the Liquid Sunshine it just wasn't for me and the Tomato Fuzz is possibly my favourite fuzz tone ever, with a slight roll off of the treble on it is exactly what I've been hearing in my head all these years and it reacts so well with the OC-2 and a few filters, it really is my favourite of the bunch.

The Proteus is just slaying the FX25 as a LPF huge dubby tones and the Sample and Hold is so cool being tap tempo, though trying to tap it and the M13 at the same time has proved erm problematic but that's my fault not the pedals :D

Man... that Proteus is really giving me some GAS. I'm not sure whether I want it more, or if I want to wait for the new version of the ZVex Ooh Wah to come out that has tap tempo.
In practice, does the envelope filter setting work alright without a sensitivity control?
Also, it's about time you got working on them clips! :D

exactly. too bad i'm kiwi in heart. never stayed in aussie :)

and everyone knows. aussies are just poms that got sent to jail.
how come your not there? :)

do u have a 442? whats the comparison with the proteus.

Yep still got a 442, it's completely different to the Proteus.

The 442 is still my favourite filter of all time, it's so easy to use and so musical and works great with pretty much any fuzz without having to be tweaked.

This is followed up by the Prometheus which just slays any of the bigger more indepth filters such as your Mutron and Q-Tron esq pedals. I haven't tried any meatball clones but would only consider the 3Leaf as everything else looks insane.

Then comes the Proteus amazing LPF sounds dubby beyond belief, makes the FX25 sound like it's just rolled your tone off slightly. However I find the Proteus very difficult to get a standard funky sound out of, I still haven't played it loads but I'm keeping it for the Tap Tempo S&H and the LPF both of which justify the price tag on the pedal. For me this pedal really comes alive with fuzz.

However as you can hear in the last clip using the Prometheus as a filter and the proteus as a step filter makes some awesome synth sounds, it's so good I can't even be bothered attempting it with the M13.
