Double Bass Hobbies? What is hobbies?

Start reading - musicians' biographies would be a good start. Or historical fictions set in an era of pieces you are working on.

Musicians' bios are amazing! Check out "The Blues All Around Me" which is B.B. King's and "Way Down" which is Jerry Scheff, the bass player for Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, The Doors on LA Woman, and various others. They're both amazing books.

Dude, learn another language! Lot's of opportunity where you live.

Being bilingual is so cool, for so many reasons!

Learning new languages is awesome, I agree with this. BUT, you have to practice to keep it up. I took two years of German in school and I haven't spoken any German in two years, so it's fading. But I'm learning Spanish now..

For the past couple of years I've actually worked at playing jazz guitar. I've risen to the level where I totally suck.

Just learn to play guitar. In any form. It'll help A TON when you transfer back over to bass.

I might take up Japanese, i want to study abroad and eventually live there, and if your wondering i want to live in Sopporo or Tokyo
That or maybe ill take up woodworking, i want to have a luthier shop when im an old man, it might not be a bad idea to learn the skills now

I like to travel with my family so they can see some of the places I have seen when on the road with the band.

I am really into Ice hockey. I played in several Pro-Am leagues until knee and shoulder injuries forced me to stop. I still follow hockey and skate on occassion but not as competitively as in the past.

Classic cars, especially Firebirds, GTO's, Challengers, Chargers and 442's.
