Hofner 500/1 Germany Identity Help!

Dear Talk Bassers,

I am interested in purchasing this Hofner 500/1 and I wonder if someone can help me identify the rough age/authenticity of it please? It looks to me to be a late 80s model because of the tuners and a few other features but any other help would be hugely appreciated! I have asked the seller and they bought it believing it was all genuine and I am very inclined to believe them but it feels like there are a few discrepancies in parts for the age. They have replaced the bridge with another genuine bridge that they have had professional filed down for a lower action. The original bridge can be seen in the picture with both the bridges.

Looks very similar to this 1990 Standard as featured in the book called The Complete Violin Bass Story. By Steve Russell and Nick Wass.
