Hohner Professional HP Bass

Hi,
Does anyone know anything about the Hohner Professional HP Bass? I've looked all over the place for info about it. Only reference I've found is one internet posting in England. It looks like a fairly decent p bass copy. Black body, rosewood fretboard, beefy bridge. Heavier than any p bass I've ever picked up. Serial number 853648. I'm guessing made in mid-70's to early 80's.

i have a Hohner Professional HP Bass also and cant seem to find anythnig about it either i dont play and want to sell it but have no idea whats its worth

I also have a Hohner up professional p bass that my best friend gave me about 12 years ago it was in need of some tlc , I got it all set up and working right but can really find any info on it .
Can even trace the serial number .
Is also black with a rosewood fretboard .
Anybody else knows anything about them?
Is a really good sounding bass with a good weight to it and nice tone.

A friend has just given me one of these in sunburst. I have never played bass so am just starting at the age of 76.
I can't believe how heavy the instrument is. Lovely instrument though.

Huh, I have a hohner professional Fretless jb with an unlined ebanol fingerboard. Also given to me, and also the heaviest bass I've ever owned.

I stripped the thick black poly and got down to a nice 2 piece maple body. I did some ineffectual weight reduction routing and put on rounds and did a good setup.

I like this bass, it sounds and plays well and I'm even leaving the pickups alone (don't tell the TB mod mafia)

Ha, I like this bass because it is my first and only bass. I am the point of struggling with the pain in my fingertips of the absolute beginner
