Update,

My paint guy ran into some health issues, but he's back with us now.

I should have this bass back in a couple weeks

In the meantime, I have the neck mostly done, just have to do the finish polishing.

Looking good! Just got all caught up with this build. I've been out of the loop for a while. Had some health issues, and then bought a house and moved. My shop is all piled up in boxes in the garage. Can't wait to get everything set up again.

My Paint guy had more health issues, so it will be a couple more weeks before I see the bass back from paint.
In the meantime, I have the epoxy buffed out

I am the Master Procrastinator! You’ll never top my 4 year build time, mwuaaahaha! I hope I don’t top it either, heh. I actually have a deadline on the Hossenfeffer II, going to be a graduation present for my son this coming May, so I’m beginning to get a little nervous. Hoping to work on it this weekend after a 4 month hiatus. I’m right behind you on the crushed pearl inlays, that’s my next step. Yours look effing fantastic!

I'd be down. It seems like an interesting design challenge. I hate Rickenbacker basses, so it would be fun to see if I could design a Rick derivative that I didn't hate.

We’re All About The Hate here on TB, so I nominate @HaMMerHeD for a Ric clone build. It has to have lots of sharp edges, pointy bits, and a borky 1950’s style hood ornament of a bridge. Extra points will be awarded for peeling clear coat and a surly attitude if anybody points out flaws in your design. Plus, he can’t shield it. I’ll think of some more requirements for him later, but will wait until he’s well into the build before announcing what they are.
