Holy crap!!!

Do you think this guy knows any better? I mean, if I were tryign to pull a scam like that, I wouldn't take a close photo of the most egregious error on it (the heastock). At the same time, it would have to be hard for anyone to ignore the fact that it is a logo from an amp, and doesn't even fully cover the old one...

Maybe it's a joke?

Oh, good, another poseur Fender, and one of the silliest ones I have seen in a while.

PT Barnum's brethren have so much confidence in the stupidity of their fellow man. They never stop to wonder how much it reveals about them.

Amazing. :p

I'll eat my hat if that is a Fender, let alone an American Fender! I would definitely file this one under clueless seller. I don't think it an intentional scam, just someone with no clue about bass guitars, let alone Fender.

I think I am gonna ask a few questions or let the seller know what that bass is not. Very politely of course.

Edit: The rotten sods at EBay won't let me contact the seller through their site as I have 0 feedback and no credit card on file with them. Bite me Ebay!

So here is what I was gonna post to the seller....in case he/she reads it here....

Hello.

I have some info regarding the Bass guitar you offer for bid. It is not a Fender first off. The headstock is the wrong shape, the bridge is not a Fender bridge and the Fender logo on the headstock is a logo from an amplifier cabinet that was screwed on the bass. The body finish is not a Fender finish, though it could have been refinished. There is also an existing logo under the Fender logo that appears to be the Johnson logo. The shape of the headstock on your bass is the shape Johnson used around the 2002 time frame.
It is most likely a Johnson, made in China that is about 5 years or so old. 150.00 is only a fair selling price if the bass needs a little "love". In mint condition 150,00 is an awesome price as I can get one shipped new, to my door for a shade under 200.00.

Just tryin to help ya out a bit.....
