Built this from a $200 Amazon kit my GF got me as a surprise. It started out as a goof or something to hang on the wall, but it came out great. Ash body, maple neck, rosewood board, humbuckers and a decent bridge. I'm changing out the tuners now to Gotoh, as they seem to be the only weak link. The thing actually sounds pretty meaty and thick. My GF's name is Judi, hence the "brand name" on the headstock. I tried to make it look like and old weathered piece of driftwood that some kid carved their initials into back in the day. A little backstory, she and I dated for 2 years starting in 1980. She was my 1st true love as an "adult" of 18. We reunited after 38 years apart a little over 3 years ago, after I left a horrible longtime marriage. I will gig this. I'll take it out when I take my Warwick Thumb 5 out, as the neck profiles and string spacing are very very similar. Only help I had was that I took the neck to a pro luthier to level and dress the frets for me. The rest was me. I think is came out cool. Especially since it turned out nice and seems to be a real nice player too.
