Home theatre's subwoofer damaging walls????

Last week I noticed some decorative bricks in my living room have started detaching from the wall. Two have eventually fallen off and few others seem to be going to fall off soon.

There are no humidity spots (those black marks you see in the picture are generic dirt) and that portion of wall is a corner of the room where there are not even direct airflows of any sort that could possibly do harm.

I started to think about the subwoofer of my Bose home theater system. Could it be that it pushes so hard, being very close to the wall, that the vibrations had caused the bricks and to detach, or is it plain absurd and improbable??? The "problem area" starts from about 2 ft above the floor and ends another foot higher.

I would not be surprised if that was the case. I have some shelves nailed into the wall directly under my sub (also a Bose) and they slowly work themselves out and have to be adjusted or everything falls off (and has!).

Seems plausible to me that the sub could be causing this, especially if the decorative bricks weren’t very solidly attached to the wall or backing material.

Not sure but it’s possible. And sorry about the damage but that’s also kinda awesome! Hopefully you get it repaired easily and also don’t have to turn down.
