Homemade Pickups

I am making homemade pickups (do they actually work) for a homemade Fender Jazz and I was wondering where i can get neodymium magnets .32 or .37 in diameter and .2 tall..?

I don't have a winder and I want to do this for cheap.. the stewmac kit looks great but I am a beginner and don't have money for premade pickups. What do you recommend?

I think there is a thread in Luther's corner about diy pickup winders. Have a sewing machine or a drill?
