Yes, another one of these threads...

Well, I'm excited for the upcoming Sterling SUB basses:
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/sterling-music-man-sub-ray4-ray5-871370/

I plan on buying the one with the Honey Burst finish, just looking for some opinions on the aesthetics.

I've attached pictures. Lemme know what you like best via voting!
    Thanks.

I think it does look good on this finish because the edges of the bass are basically the same red that you can see in the tort material.
It does go pretty well, but I think I'm a fan of having no guard. We'll see.

    Mint is 'fresher' :hyper:

I'd go with rainbow or black. They just 'sit' well.:bassist:

I usually try to stay away from recommending Tort (even though I love it, but it's overused) and I try to vote/suggest white pearl... but this time, this bass needs a Tort guard. Everything else is just blah...

    I actually like the none/clear.
    It's kinda G&L-esque.

2nd choice - white. (Did I just say that?)

None, with white the second choice.

Anything but the tort, which looks like bloody vomit.

    Tort.

Then depending on what the wood looks like under the pickguard, maybe go with none or get a clear guard.

I vote white guard, I would say mint is second, and yes it is way too green.

    Black or tort...

FWIW, I've got black on mine. Tort was my other choice. I had pearl on it, but I'm just not a fan anymore.

    Pearl!

I just wanna smack the folks that invented tort! Why?? Ugh! Just horrid!

  18. I voted tort, but I'd vote for "Anything but Mint or Rainbow"

  19. Black.

It makes the instrument have a visual depth.

Don't care for any of the others too much.
