Horn / Strap Button Extender (to prevent neck dive)?

On my 10 lb Maton MGB-4 the strap button on the horn was too close to the centre of gravity, and was carrying a much greater load. I figured that for perfect balance it would have to be in line with the fret 7. That way the two strap buttons would be the same distance apart on either side of the centre of gravity. For a couple of reasons I settled on extending the horn only as far as fret 9 - see pics (waiting for new strap buttons). Balance is not perfect but much improved.

Ibanez got it right!
