How are Pyramid Gold flatwounds?

Am on a mission to find the warmest strings I can find, I have a Violin bass currently strung with Labella flatwounds but there is a pronounced clunk character to the mids that I can be troublesome with some rigs (usually the ones that have a limited eq) and I am looking for a warmer kind of tone and think the pyramids might be it , anyone care to share there experience of these strings? thanks

They have a warmer tone. However, where most flatwounds have an A which is slightly less tight, the Pyramids have a looser E. Give them a try. They have a magical heavy feel in the hand before you install them, like jewelry.

i've tried all the flats offered out there (except sadowsky and alleva coppolo), they are the warmest ie least treble and clank. they have the fastest decay and sounds the most "vintage" "old schooL" and "warm".

great strings. be warned, they are pure nickel, meaning their output is gonna be lower than a steel string (due to magnetism).
