How bad is the EHX Bass Clone noise?

I really adore the sound of this pedal from the demos I've seen, but I've heard they can be quite noisy. Is this the case for all of these pedals? Or do some turn out better than others? I've seen a video demonstrating quite a bit of noise from the pedal, but it otherwise has a good reputation. The noise is a bit of a deal-breaker for me, but I'm wondering if it's worth trying a few of them in-store to see if I can find one with less noise.

I had one, and it wasn't noisy. I'd say try it out, see if you like it.

I've had 3 of those over the years, still have one.
Dead quiet.

Can you link it? Did the author provide a description of everything he/she used, chain-wise?

I too recently acquired a Bass Clone for a gig to spice up my acoustic bass sound a bit. Worked wonders, I didn't notice any noise myself.
