How Can I achieve this tone?

Hi, Im not a Kid Rock fan (so not bashing here) but last night i found this vid by chance and the bass tone is the exact one i was craving for a long time. The bass player Michael Bradford, i think thats his name, is playing some kind of fiver, it looks like a bass made of Ash but of course, its impossible to tell. I googled about this guy's gear but I couldn't find anything that gives me an answer. So im asking for help to more experienced players. By the way in order to hear the sound of the bass use regular size head phones or a good PC speaker at high valume otherwise you wont know what Im talking about. Check especially at 00:53 (the opening slide) and between 03:30 and 03:33 (not the little dance but the bass' sound lol). Any advice of how can I achieve that bass tone (wood type, pick ups, eq,etc). Ok here it is:

Michael Bradford largely played a 5 string Gibson Thunderbird bass. He’s also been known to play a Fender Precision Bass. He mostly uses Ampeg amps and Fender Bassman Amps. He also played on the albums Ray Of Light by Madonna, Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too by New Radicals and on records by Stevie Nicks, Elton John and Ringo Starr.

That’s a nice Fender Stratocaster the guitar player is playing.
