I have a genuine German Warwick bass a 2010. You can email [email protected] with pictures the reply came back mine had the brass nut which it doesn't and never had, everything else was correct.

How can I identify my bass as a real Warwick?

Also all/if not most Corvette standard necks that are fretted have Wenge fingerboads....that is clearly not. So again, no need to sweat

Why would you suspect that its not a real one? Or even care anyway? It's just a Warwick.
i know you already did this and indicated it did not specifically state it was a fretless...
But if you google the Article number, you'll see TONS of other corvette fretless link.....so one of those digits identifies it to be a fretless....

I've learned it's a 04 fretless passive Corvette w/ebony board bubinga body ovangol (sp?) neck but it would have been convenient to have this info from Warwick as opposed to a stranger over the phone. For future use of course."

erm.... those aren't really counterfit warwicks if you have eyes. it's not like Les Pauls that can be convincing.... warwicks are very unique.

Yeah not sure why OP thought this one could be fake. None of the counterfeits come close to looking like the real thing. Just pointing out that Warwick counterfeits do exist.

I saw and ad where the guy was selling one of those with a fretted and a fretless neck. I don't remember if it was craigslist , reverb or here.
Good eye. Now I see the E & G string silks are in the nut slots.Looks awesome, other than the strings being too short for the bass. That's easily fixed though
