How can I pad a Sunn Model T input for active PUP's

One of my "Brother's of the Bottom End" is buying my Gen 1 Model T head. He has a Hohner 6-String bass. He states the Hohner won't play nice with a Model T. Probably due to the input level. Anyone know a way to "pad" the input without sacrificing tone?
