It's blue masking tape, Miles had a gig that night and wanted to break the tension. It peels right off. The owner is a friend of mine on FB, takes good care of his instruments. He's a member here on TB.

Hey talkbass, this is actually my bass. I was going to be wearing my bullet belt at my gig, and I didn't want the finish on the back to get messed up. So, I thought I'd put a layer of tape on it just to ensure protection.

Then, I thought...I could write a funny sign on the tape, and it'd come right off. So, I did that sign. (For the record, I held it up next to my guitarists head during one of the songs with a guitar intro. I got quite a big cheer from the crowd).

I didn't think images of a sign like that were allowed on talkbass, otherwise I woulda posted it myself!
