Double Bass How competitive are music conservatories?

What level of student gets into a conservatory? What do they expect you to know? The audition requirements look pretty easy, but just how competitive are they?

depends on the school and who else shows up. i mean, julliard is probably less competitive than curtis or colburn but more competitive than other schools. all you can do is work hard and play well for your audition.
