How did you celebrate being alive today ?

It's the middle of winter here, for all intents and purposes I'm not alive. Things could be a lot worse and I'll go make a little music this afternoon to celebrate that, but this hibernation sure doesn't feel like living.

I baked off over 200 pieces of pastry,...all before 8am. (Probably should have made more but this is our first Sunday.)

The best part is seeing the cases full of product and know that you did all that. Very gratifying.

I've been awak for an hour. I have a hangover combined with a head chest cold. My head is fat, but as the tide drops the waves are starting to look really good. So I'm typing this as I drink my morning coffee whil taking my morning dump. After the paperwork, I'll snap a bt, pack my wetsuit and my trusty 6'2" fish and head out to surf. Maybe it'll clear my cold up.

mine is not so salubrious:

had a good band practice with a new jazz band. and we had tea and cake.
just opened a guilty sunday hangover beer
currently watching Watchmen and preparing to cook a laaaaarge steak

I woke up on this side of the lawn. That's a pretty good way to start any day. Then I hung out in my recliner with a little dog in my lap. I'm drinking a beer, screwing off on the internet, and I see a nap in my near future.

It's a good day.

I got ready for church, my wife and I showered went to church (only 2 deg above 0 this am), spent a great morning in church, had a good Bible Study, and after reading all the hangover posts, I'm thankful for the fact I haven't had an drink of alcohol since October 10th of '08. But for the grace of God and good friends...........Not every day is great, but today was, I also found I play all my different instruments much better minus the hangovers as well as doing luthier work and piano work. Thank God the hangovers are gone for me now.:D

I woke up, cooked a mushroom and swiss omelette (with a cameo of some diced chicken tenderloin leftover that sat in some nice au jus all night in the fridge... awesome!), and checked my email... to find a scammer had replied to one of my craigslist postings. He claims to be from a church, and wants to pay by check and have me cash it immediately (and probably an "oops!" when he writes the check, and I'll need to send him the cash back... so recycled. Where's the originality?). So I sent him a reply saying that due to the threat of scammers, I'd need a picture of him holding a sign saying "I live to service you, my Lord!" to prove that he's a real person... and not a godless heathen. lol

It's a good day to live.
