How do I connect a...........

if you want to play bass through the GK at the same time as pushing the 909 through the GK, you are going to need a separate piece of gear -- like a small mixer or something. the 800rb only has one input jack, so you'd have to mix the drum machine signal with the bass signal before hitting the jack.

there is an FX return input, but my experience tells me most FX returns are also defeats on the original source signal (resulting in only the drum machine coming out the speaker, assuming it's plugged into the FX return, not the drums mixed with bass).

anyone, please correct me if i'm wrong.

cheers!

I got my keyboard player from my old band one of these
to run both his keyboards to the mixing board. That way he
only had to take up one channel on the board and he could
mix his keyboards on his own.

It's totally passive, no power supply of any kind needed.
You could adjust the volume of the drum machine and your
bass independently for proper balance. I'm sure the Rolls unit
that was mentioned is similar. I just have personal experience
with this one. It's built very sturdy, all metal housing.

Good luck.

the roland is a midi drum machine, bongo...

that and the possibility of wanting to play the bass at the same time is what I think the OP is asking about...

jerk :p

I'm sure bongo knows what a 909 is! And whether it's an archaic midi drum machine or a rubber band stretched across a shoe box, it's still an instrument!

(Still no good way of expressing irony or nonchalance online... I'm open to suggestions for both!)

If the OP wants that, then the OP needs to express it. We ain't psychic!
