I appreciate all the advice, I believe I'm going to go with leaving it alone. This is why I'll never have a tattoo, I like the idea of having one but would not be able to make up my mind on the details lol.....
I've owned dozens and dozens of basses, but only 2 that were ever made for me. I'm not usually this indecisive.

The rug ties the room together.Throwing this out there, if the builder has some scraps of that quilted maple, can he make a laminate for the headstock and do that teal/burst finish on the headstock tying the whole thing together?
