So one of my SL112 boxes has developed a rattle. Still waiting to hear from Aguilar, but read their policy about shipping it back to them, paying freight both ways, and doing without the cabinet, etc. Anyone know how to get one of these things apart?
Do you know for sure it's the speaker and not something else? Identify the actual cause of the problem and you will find that solving the problem becomes much more effective.
Might do more troubleshooting before shipping it back. Could be as simple as one of the wires touching the back of the cone. Post a sound clip of the rattle, might get more ideas for fixing.

Thanks. Good tip. I can pull the crossover/jackplate and get to those. Would still like to know how the front comes off.
Can you peek in via a handle (I’m not too familiar with that cab)? Going in via the jackplate would move the alleged guilty wire. Just a thought…
I am also assuming that the grill comes off an the driver is front-loaded for inspection or replacement.
Yeah, these cabinets are not of normal construction. Removing the grill seems impossible. Maybe factory-only unless you want to destroy it? But I'm good for now. Thanks.
For any future questions on how to get access to the speaker: you can take the front grill off. It's a little difficult on the SL112, so don't be scared to put in some force. I believe Aguilar just uses the Eminence Neodymium Series Deltalite II 2512 12" speaker
