how do you annoy guitards

i played in this one very bad metal band once. they were friends of mine. anytime i would deviate from the riff to add some flavor they would get pissed. also using pedals in that situation will set off the annoyed guitarist face. you know that long stare..........

If he has a Boss TU-2 Tuner set it to be 1 or 2 steps flat. Drives them nuts.:D

The best part is that they usually stand there confused for a few minutes because the tuner says that are in tune but they arent.

When they finally figure it out they usually think it was just changed due to one of the buttons being bumped. A perfect crime.:D

Oh, another one.... Ampeg SVT head + 8x10 cab = P.O.'ed guitard.

Go to guitar center plug into an ampeg 8x10 and accualy play the metalica songs the right way. Im not even a metalica fan but I know the songs better then everyone trying to play them on guitar. And when the guitarist messed with my ashdown half stack. I think he put a paperclip in my head somewhere. I pissed in his marshal cab. He deserved that.

Are you guys REALLY that insecure?

I respect the people that I play with, just as they respect me. I don't call them names and I don't play stupid little control games.

If your bandmates don't respect you, maybe you should figure out why they don't. Either you suck or have a crappy attitude, or maybe you need to find new people to play with. If they do respect you and you still have to talk smack about them, that's on you, and it says more about you than it does anything else.

That or people are in bands where everyone goofs around and picks on each other. It's the nature of bands. It's like a family. It's all in fun and everyone knows that at the end of the day, it you need some one to back you up or bail you out of jail, you call your band mates...if they're not there with you that is...

I take that one step further, I whip out my 6'er and just say 'Hey, look, we've got the same amount of strings!'

Then sit back and watch them deflate =]

Specially when you add the fact that your's is BIGGER and has more frets than most guitars. AND is fatter than guitars too. In rock and heavy metal guitards wanna be faaatter and fatter every day. But bass will always be the fat guy.

As a bass player you control what key the song is in, lots of potential to annoy there...

When the band is jamming, start the jam in Bb key, or Db. Most guitarrist i've played with can't play in uncommon keys. Then you can tell them that's why you choose bass. Then if you want, you can mock at them or ridiculize them as much as you want. I wouldn't, but thats a personal choice.
Being unable to play in some give key is sad enough.
