How do you decide which bass to sell?

When a new bass comes in and one must go out or when it's time to make room, what do you think of when deciding which one must go?

I can't find any reason to sell any of them but I have too many and I keep finding more that I want to own!

How many do you have? Im in the same boat. I have too many for the space I have. I have 20 basses up for sale because they dont get used, I have that sound covered and / or they're replaceable. Some I keep purely for their aesthetic beauty.

Which ever bass is sitting around not getting played and has been that way for the longest. The only bass safe from that that I don't play too often is my first bass. The way I see it is someone else could and will hopefully use it more then I will or ever will and I prefer to sell to those people for a reasonable price. I never sell or trade in basses at big stores.

Same as others have said. My 80's P is about to go on the block because it isn't getting the love it deserves. It was my main 4 for about a decade but I mostly play 5's now. I'd rather it go to someone who loves it and plays the hell out of it than have it collect dust in my guitar rack.
