How do you fight the power?

All my life, through high school, college, grad school and beyond, my motto was "Fight the Power! Stick it to the Man!!"

Now I am a white, 52-year old Judge. My wife tells me I am the man now. That's killing me.

So, what I do is put on my "bass player clothes" and play the funkiest, nastiest grooves whenever and wherever I can. I get the oddest looks from the people in this very small town, but it didn't keep me from getting re-elected, so I guess they have learned to deal with it. Saturday I played with a rock band on the courthouse lawn, and last night I sat in on a blues session at a local venue. I did hear someone say "Hey, isn't that our judge?"

So, I fight the power by jamming with everything I've got. :bassist:

as long as you don't stick it to the man by letting crackheads go free.
