I've noticed the 14th and 15th frets of the D and G strings of my Fender American Original 60s Precision Bass don't resonate as loud and clear as other notes. They don't sustain as long either and produce a sort of harmonic.
The neck's relief is 0.3 mm at the 7th fret (capo on the first fret and the 17th fret depressed). The height of the D and G strings at the 17th fret is 2 mm. The bass is strung with La Bella Deep Talkin' 760FS.
Is this a dead spot? Is there a way to confirm whether it is a dead spot or not? Where should I go from here?
Thanks.
