How does this Stage diagram this look?

while doing backline, or trying to advance a stage I've occasionally seen the pictogram type thing like the original post. They are really annoying and often misleading. They've always caused trouble IME.

so, +1 to that nice plot that jetlaggemini posted.

Also, in regards to a backline list. If you're renting backline from anywhere, it's best to provide a separate list which is very detailed, clear, and specific. You get what's listed, period. Somewhere, somebody in a warehouse full of gear is trying to figure out what you want. The less guessing they need to do, the more likely you'll be happy. For example, I recently had a rider that requested four china cymbals with the kit. I'm not an idiot, (though I am a drummer) I know they needed HH, ride, crash, china. But they got what was on the rider, and we're not happy. Sure was funny to me though! :cool:
