How good is Squier Affinity Precision Bass?

First of all, i'm not a beginner player, but I'm looking for a working bass on low budget, which i can play at home, at gig or anywhere.

One reason i like affinity is the look, I'm looking for classic sunburst,black looking bass. And Squier higher priced basses have the color i dont like.

I also saw good and bad review's about the guitar.
But what is the truth?

If anybody has any sound recording from Squier Affinity P Bass, please let me hear

l’ve had mine for 6 months and it is great. You can’t beat them for price.
The only things I might change is to put a beefier bridge for it and eventually change the pickups to actives.

Well, the Squier series in general, and the Affinity series in particular, suffer from a distinct lack of QC consistency. If you get a lemon, you had better be a tech or be prepared to spend about twice what you paid to get it to play and sound right. However, "good ones" can certainly be had if you know what you're looking at.

I just sold off an Affinity Precision I had lying around for a spare. I spent a little time and TLC first setting it up for prospective buyers. I'll be damned if that thing didn't set up and play/sound as good as some of my (much) more expensive Fenders.

Needless to say, it sold quick to the first guy who played it.

The new Squier Affinitys are really really good basses for the money. They have made significant upgrades to the line. I was so impressed I bought one, even with though I have a extensive vintage USA collection.
