No sir, you were absolutely clear! I think it is I that may have muddled up my wording. What I was saying is that the way you describe playing the changes is the way I have approached soloing for quite some time. I think that what you and Andrew have here are two different ways of skinning the same cat... I just never thought of basing every change in a tune to the same tonic, but different modes. It was a bit of an AH HAH moment for me, and I can't wait to try it to see if it makes my lines flow a little better.

Unfortunately I am stuck away from my horn for a while longer (I have my bass, but there is no way in two hells I'll be able to try this on bass yet) so all I can do is speculate for now.
