Get BOSS cables. They're fabulous. I've been using them for a year now with great results. Legitimately reduced crackling from old terrible cables and great durability.

I don't know about the Gold cables but would't be surprised if they are a very noticeable difference after my experience with their yellow oval cables. Now are they worth that price tag? Not to me but probably to someone like Rick Rubin they might be lol! And with the Yellow Ovals at least...you would surprised...it is a very noticeable difference. The first time I used the cable was at a weekly gig I had been playing for years. I used the same cab, same bass, same amp and same settings week in an week out as I had that room dialed, but that first night i used this cable, from the first moment of the first song it was alarming ( in a good way) to hear the increase in volume and frequency spectrum. I don't blame you ...I felt the exact same way...but now when i go back to a 'regular cable' it is the opposite effect and feels like something is missing.I don't doubt that these are quality cables, but THIS kinda strains credulity:

If you have the energy, this ^^^^^^I think the best thing you could possibly do is buy a spool of higher quality bulk cable, some good TS connectors and a soldering iron and you’ll be set for life. And then you can repair any cable that develops an issue.

When I started outfitting my home studio 25 years ago I bought a bunch of lengths of different colored Canare stat quad cable (nice supple thinner balanced cable) and neutrik ends and built 8 20’ mic cables and two headphone extension cables.
None have failed! The cheapo mic cables from MF (that came on bundles with shure mics, etc) break at a high rate. Like 50%.
