How is CITES affecting buying a bass from Japan?

Just curious what one should expect when buying from overseas. Are there possibly hidden costs for the buyer when it arrives? Are there delays in shipping?

Buying from Japan was pretty easy not long ago, just curious if CITES has made it a cluster.

Get the seller to sort the CITES export certificate, costs maybe $50 but don't quote me on that.

I don't have a link handy (I'm on my phone right now), but go take a look at any rosewood-boarded bass on Ishibashi's U-BOX. There is specific info attached to each ad relating to CITES.
