How Is This Jaco Lick Possible? (Birdland)

I've slowed this lick down and looped it about a hundred times, and I'm pretty sure I know what he's doing, but I can't figure out how it's even possible to make a huge jump that fast, and land clean on a sliding double stop. Is this studio trickery? Am I missing something? What's wrong with me? Did he tap that double stop with his right hand?
I've watched a few live videos and he doesn't do it exactly the same as the studio one.

Was Jaco ever known to tap with his right hand? That's the only way I can even begin to comprehend the speed of that jump.

I considered that, but it sounds more like a 5th fret D string G. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
But even playing it that way, the double stop still happens in the blink of an eye.

Maybe he overdubbed that double stop?

That particular double stop is pretty common, Flat7/Major 3rd. Is there a term for that, like a nickname or something?

That's what I meant by studio trickery. Because I haven't been able to find a live video where he played it exactly like that, that fast.

It's crazy! I know I'll never be able to play like that, but it's fun to try.

It's pretty interesting to dissect that line, and see the way he bounced that chromatic walkup between the E and D strings.

Just tried it. It’s actually not as hard as it seems. He plays the octave G before the double stop as an open string.

live he starts the double stop with a slide. That makes the jump easier.

could be that he played the double stop on the studio as an overdub. None can tell you for sure.
