It's funny that JP noted how Victor was "in the corner" being inconspicuous... I was at Berklee the same years that Vic was there, and that was perhaps the thing I remember most about him: How he tended to be very unobtrusive, quiet, almost standoffish. In fact, he came across as such an introvert at school that it came as a complete shock to me when he got the gig with Weather Report, because he was simply not one of those Berklee students who call a lot of attention to themselves and have the Attention-Magnet personality.

Vic just spoke softly ...and carried a big bass.
