I like my bass to cover my package in case someone decides to throw anything at me. I need a bass with a heating pad on the back for when I practice nude.

My straps are adjusted to hang my basses at the same height as sitting with them on my lap. Therefore, whether I'm standing or sitting my basses feel the same.

I tend to try the find the place where the cutouts and relief on the bass fit my fat tummy the best. So some are at different heights but all are a bit higher.

i would rather play better and not look so cool than vice versa.

i find that if i set it up at the same position sitting and standing, i bend my wrist at an unhealthy angle or bend my elbow uncomfortably in order to compensate.
i set my strap so that my arm is completely straightened out playing fingerstyle near the bridge.
so yeah, about sack height.

I adjust my straps while I'm sitting down. I shorten the strap until its perfect length when I'm sitting (meaning no slack and not technically hanging from my shoulder). Than I stand and play it at that height.

I have mine at boob level.
