How Low?

most straps will not go low enough for me. The only ones I can find that I like are those cheap ernie ball ones, which are much longer than a normal strap. I'm 6'2" and I wear my bass pretty low, lets just say I dont have to worry about belt buckle scratches when I play. Its not like nu metal low though.

krist novoselic use to put a rag on the end of this strap and then tie it to his bass so that it would be low enough. (or before Nirvana went big)

I play pretty high on my chest. Used to low ride it, until one day I decided to see what it felt like playing it up high. I noticed how much more accurate I was, I didn't have to strain or stretch, how much easier it was to play......and to make a long story short, I've been playing high ever since.

I play it in two positions. Fingers I find most comfortable at the same height as sitting position. Picking (punk music! forgive me... :D) I just drop it down on the strap from the higher hole to the lower one. My J's belly/man boob contour is sitting about right for stomach contour if my belly was bigger. :p

Yeah same here, if I was naked on stage, no one would see my huge *CENSORED*. It's not metal low, but not "artsy" high either.

:rolleyes::)

"metal low" ? A lot of metal musicians tend to ride their instruments decently high, if their playing technical work.

thats pretty similar to my strap height. Whatever is comfortable and keeps your wrists straight.
