Hey the low B on 35" is really good.
As I went to a friend who has a noname fretless - I knew, I also would like to have one. I got it from eBay, a totally wrecked SR400FL. Afrer I've put some lemon oil and new parts and strings- it sounds great.
Now my tiny SR200 said "I would like to have a big brother..." I got a SR500BM.
Unfortunately I do have just two hands - need six more to build a band with a eight-handed bass player on four basses simultaneously.

What will be the next?
Actually I am looking for six-string SR506 also from Ibanez.

And no, I am not paid for advertising ;-)

Go for the SR706. I just got one, and I LOVE it!

Peavey Millenium BXP (first bass, stripped the trussrod nut being a stupid noob.. it's hooped now)
ESP/LTD B404SM. Plays like butter.
Yamaha BB424 black. Just got this yesterday and spent a few hours getting it set up. Unfortunatly it's not quite where I want it to be yet, but has tons of potential! I think I like this bass better than the ESP now, which I love so much.

Just purchased a Vintage V4 MVW to go with my other collection. Its a Precision copy, cost under £200 (under $300) from brand new and its a fine example of a well made budget bass. The Wilkinson pickup surprised me, I didn't expect it to have the power it did nor the range of tone between the tone pot positions. Lots of modern growl open and when closed plenty of motown-esque thump. It still isn't set up correctly though. I've just done another quarter truss rod tighten today and I'm also going to switch the Bridge out for a Hipshot A Style. Upon inspecting it, I found the stock bridge isn't lined up correctly anyways, its more biased to the lower inlay/g string side. That is the only mod the bass needs doing to it... Im a happy chap!

I currently own three, my last one just bought in February, and already I'm itching to snag a new one.

they are:
1986 Rickenbacker 4003, Fireglo
MIM P-bass, presumably late 90s(Standard mods, Baddass II Bridge, SD 1/4 pounder, new pots.) Fiesta Red.
1997 G&L L-2000, black

The MIM is my goto bass when I head out to jam at open mics, but that's only 'cus I'm still getting used to the L-2000's massive tone. Must tame that beasty. Overall, the Rick is my favorite. Tone for days and an easy neck, slim. But for some reason, either becuase it's too pretty or too heavy, I dont take it out too much.
