Current stable...

1. Mike Lull M5V - My main go-to bass for 10 years now
2. ESP LTD B205SM FL - Fretless 5. Using this until I manage to get a Pedulla Pentabuzz. Not a bad bass to be honest.
3. Lakland Skyline 55-64 - Fantastic bass!! 35" scale 5 string "P" Bass! The B string is like the voice of God!
4. Lakland Skyline 55-60 - I just have not been able to connect with this one. Still trying different mods to get it sounding like I want.
5. Peavey Millennium 5 - One of the best deals out there when you can find them. Love the neck and the EQ is one of the best out there as well.
6. Lakland 55-01 - The was a great bass stock but I've since upgraded the electronics to US Bartolini. Now it sounds and plays like a multi-thousand dollar custom.
7. Valenti VTP 5 - 35", 5 string '55 style P bass. Nino makes a fantastic bass!! Definitely up there with Lull and Sadowsky in tone, feel, playability and quality. I have three additional Valenti basses I'd like to commission.
8. Ibanez SR1405E - Admittedly I bought this bass because it was pretty! I prefer 35" scale 5 strings. But I have to say, the low B is very tight and focused. No floppiness at all. Thin, fast neck and the Nordstrand pups sound great!
9. Fender '63 American Vintage Precision Bass - I first saw this bass in a P bass thread and it was love at first sight! Had to tweak the setup when I got her but since then she plays and sounds so sweeeeet!!!
10. Ibanez SR5BBLTD - Called "The Poor Man's Fodera". I've never played a Fodera so I can't say. What I can say is this is one solidly built, beautifully appointed and finished bass!

Wow....28% fall into the 5-9 bracket. Only one for me right now as I'm a newbie. But I can see that changing in the future. My goal is to practice hard over the next few months and if I still have the same desire to learn and get better, I plan to treat myself to a 'nicer' one this time next year. Maybe a Music Man. My Fender Squier VM Jag is more than adacuate at this point. And I really like it, but its good to have a goal to shoot for. Got to rationalize another one somehow.

Ibanez SR400QM ( discontinued cherry sunburst color) which is my baby, and epiphone EBM-5CH transparent cherry 5 string, have it up for sale locally but if it hasn't sold by the 20th im keeping it. people say the electronics in them ar crap but I took mine from not working at all to working but having low volume by simply hitting all the solder point with a hot iron and a little new solder, sadly it has low volume but for 4.35 + 6.99 shipping I can ( and have ordered) every electrolytic cap and both IC's. and it will be cheap to replace everything else as well just have to id them first with the exception of the pots cause they are funky ones that I don't think are even made anyone but if I can replace the stockers with cts and use the pot nuts off of the factory pots I will eventually do that .

I posted in this thread on Jul. 29/2014 that I had just gone from 3 to 4.
Since then, I went from 4 to 5, but as of now, I'm currently at 3.

I think I just moved from 3 to 4. I no longer have the Stick, which I didn't count as a bass, and now I also have a Sterling SB14. Still have the Ripper, Wishbass and SX P-bass.
