I could have more than 50 basses and 10 guitars... who's counting.. I have some loaned out to folks.. some in a warehouse prepped to be shipped...

There is the chance I may be working on an agreement that would drastically reduce this number.

I'm a firm believer that with basses (much more than guitars) that it takes tons of them to find the right combination of magic, looks, feel and sound.... unfortunately since stores normally only carry the turds, this makes the internet so much cooler.

Note that since I haven't played 4 stringers for years, that eliminates whole areas of "must have" collectibles such as Ricks. Current areas of GAS include a fretted Carvin AC50 as a mate to my fretless and a really nice fretless 6 stringer. A Steve Bailey instead of my SX-6 clone would be nice...

Been getting by with two for the better part of a year. If I owned a car (which i likely won't for any foreseesable future), those would be more than enough. But I don't own a car, and the portability of a Zon Vinny finally broke me. So own two, have paid for four (the two Zon VBs still pending arrival).

1. Zon Sonus 5 ZB4.3 Fretless (keep at home, it's my woodshedding bass, cuz I can't carry #2 on my bike)
2. Barker B1-5, fretted (gigging weekly, keep it locked up on-site))
