That's going to change because I'd like to learn fretless (who needs accurate key centers anyway), but I'd rather experiment with what I do than what I do it with.

- Zon Sonus Custom fretless 5 - Because I needed a great fretless.
- Peavey Cirrus 6 - Because I needed a good, modern sounding 6.
- Pedulla Rapture J2 5 - Because I thought I wanted a 5 string Jazz. This is probably on the way out.
- Hamer CH12 - Always wanted a twelve stringer, and works great for heavy songs.
- Westone Quantum steinberger copy - Sentimental value.
- Fender Jazz Geddy Lee - Hey, everyone should have a great Jazz bass.
- Ibanez SR 506 - Because it's worth more to me than I could sell it for. It will be defretted eventually.
- Electra Westone fretless - Sentimental value, and has a cool preamp with a parametric mid.
- Peavey Foundation - Sentimental value, loaned out to a guy who can't afford his own.
Once I move the Pedulla, all of my basses will be very different tonally, except for the Foundation and the Jazz.
I like basses. I like variety. And I am not done. I will get a 5 string P bass one of these days.
I have 2 because you always need backup, but i would like several more. Like fretless and an acoustic and an upright and a 6 string.
Three:
--Warwick Streamer Stage I - my first really good bass. Will probably always be with me.
--JV Squier P - well, it's a P-bass. Everyone needs one.
--Ares DCB 6 - my first, and probably last, multi string bass.
Edit: The Ares has now found a new home, and a happy owner, in another city, so I'm down to two. If I'll ever buy a new bass, it will probably be a fretless four string. Not that I actually need one.

yammo RBX270 4 string: becasue i wanted a "workhorse bass" for rehearsals. Unbreakable and light and easy to jump around with.
Aria pro 6: cos i was a year younger and stupid. I can play it competently just itsnot very good quality so the high c doesnt really sound any good. useless.
A jazz copy i refinnished: my first bass. i dont play it anymore tho....

Two, which is one more than I need. I'll goof around with other basses in a music store, but I have no interest in getting more. I could own a hundred basses, but I'd still settle on a favorite and play just that one.
