How many fingers should I use?

If ur asking about speed, then as many as you can, but speed is the gayest thing that exists, fast bassplaying is annoying.

Hmmm.....

i practice 6-8hours a day and when i'm not practicing then i'm tapping my fingers... i can do faster than +200bpm but dont really know if i can play that fast for 5min...

I can play faster than 16th at 200bpm using 3fingers... another guy (kiwi kid) on this board does 16th at 260bpm uising 2fingers... that's fast..

Is there any famous bass player who actually did something like this? Would you be able to play faster?
It's not like i'm unhappy about my 3fingered speed(16ths over 200bpm) but if a operation like that would make me a better player then i wouldn't mind considering it...

I can play scales up and down at the speed of 150-160bpm and i wonder if 3fingers really would make me that much faster to justify the time spending on learning it.

How did 3fingers increase your speed?

By the way, my goal is to do atleast 180bpm, so i can do fast 16th triplets...

What was that you were saying? :hmm:

now when u bring these posts up i feel a little bit patethic. :D
My arms are damaged, perhaps from overpracticing even though i never play if it hurts, i haven't practiced for 2months.

During these two months i have finally realized what a waste of time i have become, how much the music i listened to suck, and how much i hate the technical aspect of music..
