There is a general consensus between some engeners that to using to many plugins simultniously will damage the signal. However, there are others that use them a lot like this guy in youtube (Eric Tarr)....I think he is great...

For bass he uses amp sim, console and tape saturation, compression with different comps, EQ, and non linear processing...Then he also recomends some multiband processing to the previously processed signal to use some especial effects at different frequencies....
I like his method, and it had helped to get a nice colour and tone, with a lot of flexibility.
Some people tend to criticise it leaning towards a general consensus by some others that may say thats to much and it will damage the signal....Or vsts are not so good and if you use them to much results with add a lot of noise, and the signal will decrese in quality...
I think too much processing and inecesary procesing is not the correct way....But what is too much when analising plugins usage????
How many do you consider excessive???
Share your experiences please.
Thanks
