How much do you practice?

i've been playing 18 years, I never pick up my bass unless i'm gigging, rehearsing with the band, learning a song, transcribing or recording... I never practice in the accepted sense of the word, although I did for 4-5 hours a day for the 1st 4-5 years

I have been playing the bass for 2 months.

I practice at least an hour per day plus practice at church and leading worship about every other week.

Oh, I love this instrument. Played acoustic guitar for years and am having more fun than I ever have with music.

And I am turning 54 tomorrow. It is great to discover something so fun later in life. Now that the kids are gone and I have a very understanding wife, I get to play every evening. I am blessed!

i play bass for about a year and a half.in the first year i didnt really own a bass so i used my (former) guitar teacher's 5 stringer for about 20 minutes a week.i really hated to play for such a short time
i bought a bass about 4 months ago.i play it 4-5 hours a day (or more,i usually stop when my fingers get bruised)
i dont practice scales on bass.the only technique that i practice with bass is adding some flamenco type of chords while playing the regular basslines
