How old is this Ampeg SVT 810E?

I tested it today with my drummer and it sound like a charm! I think my rig now is much better than my main bass ! But with fender p-bass 51' RI with La Bella flats it sounds really vintage, warm and sweet.. This cab pushes A LOT of mids and it's loud as hell! Nice feeling to have some spare power finally. I think I used sth like 60% of it's power! It was difficult to fill the basement with the lows nicely, but we play in unadapted basement so that's the room fault I guess.
I played with a pick on OLP MM2 with drive knob turned hard right and that was the sound I was trying to imitate on solid state amps with effects. We played some old Kyuss stuff and it kicked ass
Now I just need to buy a jazz bass and I can die hapilly 
How would you use the drive knob for warm thumpy blues sound? I found out that both 7 o'clock and 5 o'clock have their pros and cons..
How hot those svt can get? I'm wondering with which amp temperature I should be worried about! It seems pretty hot after some time spent playing on it.. Thst's my first full valve amp so I don't want to ruin it.

Good to hear that you like it! With any new rig it takes a bit of time to get to know it and find out what settings work best. To some extent, you have to get used to the speaker cabinet.
How hot the amp gets depends on how hard you push it but tubes can run hot. Cranked up to 60%, it sounds like you like it loud! Make sure that the amp is well ventilated. Best not to push it up against a wall. Leave some room around it for air to circulate. It can help a lot to use a small desk fan blowing onto the amp to help move the air and cool it.
The power tubes can also run hotter or cooler based on the bias setting. As with any new amp, it is best to have a tech check it out. Check the bias setting. You can get a schematic for your amp from Loud. Good to get a copy for when the amp needs to be serviced.
